Privacy Policy

What we collect, and what we don't.

This policy covers InterviewRigor ("the Service"), operated by the Service's operator ("we"). It is written to describe exactly what the software actually does.

Last updated: July 9, 2026

The short version

1 — Information we collect

Account (sign-in)

Signing in is passwordless: you give us your email address and we email you a one-time sign-in link. We store your email, account creation date, plan tier, and hashed sign-in tokens/sessions. There are no passwords to store or leak.

Waitlist (landing page)

Your email address, whether you viewed the sample report before signing up, and a timestamp. Stored in our database until we launch, you ask us to remove it, or the list is retired.

Practice sessions

  • What you provide: an optional job description, optional custom questions, and your spoken or typed answers, plus answer timing (thinking time, response time).
  • Voice answers: if you use the Voice feature, your microphone audio is sent to our server and forwarded to Deepgram to produce a verbatim transcript (including filler words — that's the point). We do not store your audio recordings. The transcript becomes your answer text for scoring.
  • Camera: the camera panel is a local self-view only. Video is never transmitted, recorded, or stored — it stays entirely in your browser.
  • Storage: when you complete an interview while signed in, your answers (including voice transcripts), timing data, and the generated report are saved to your account so you can revisit past reports and track score trends. Each saved interview has a Delete button, and deleting your account permanently removes every interview with it.

Technical data

Standard server logs (IP address, request paths, timestamps) via our hosting provider, and short-lived in-memory rate-limit counters. We do not run analytics and do not set tracking cookies — the only cookie we set is a strictly functional sign-in session cookie. We use browser sessionStorage to keep your setup choices while you navigate the site, and HTTP Basic authentication for the private-beta gate.

2 — How we use information
3 — AI processing & service providers

We use a small number of processors to operate the Service:

ProviderWhat they processNotes
AnthropicInterview answers and job descriptions — to generate evaluations and reports.Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models.
DeepgramVoice-answer audio — to produce verbatim transcripts.Processed under Deepgram's data processing terms. We do not retain the audio.
ResendYour email address — to deliver one-time sign-in links (and, later, waitlist invitations).Transactional email delivery only; no marketing use.
RailwayHosting and database infrastructure (where the data above lives).Standard cloud hosting; server logs per their defaults.
4 — Retention
5 — Sharing

We share personal information only with the processors listed above (to provide the Service), or if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of the Service and its users. There is no sale of personal information and no sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6 — Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). The app sits behind an access gate during beta. We practice data minimization by design — the most sensitive things (your camera, your interview answers) are either never transmitted or never stored. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

7 — Your choices & rights

We don't create biometric identifiers — voice audio is transcribed to text, not used to identify anyone.

8 — Children

The Service is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9 — Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For material changes we'll update this policy before the change takes effect and flag it on the site — as we did when accounts with saved interview history were introduced (July 2026).
